04th October 2017
Amazingly we are approaching the end of the first half term at Sheringham High School for our new Year 7 students. How time has flown.
We are all very pleased with how Year 7 have settled in and many teachers have reported great successes in lots of subjects.
Support staff and teaching staff have praised the way in which new students have conducted and organised themselves to manage the new challenges of High School. My colleagues and I make a special effort to check on how Year 7 students feel about their new school and their experiences. I am always thrilled to hear how excited they are and how well they say they have settled.
You may or may not be aware that we will send reports home to you tracking the academic progress of your child at Christmas. If you have any concerns about your child’s academic progress in a particular subject area, please contact the member of staff directly.
I hope that you feel that the transition for your child has been positive but if you are at all worried about how your son or daughter has settled in, please contact the School and we will make an appointment for you to meet with one of our Student Managers on Tuesday 17th October which appears in our calendar as ‘Year 7 Settling In Evening’.
