MUFTI Day

09th July 2018

MUFTI Day

In 1833 the Slavery Abolition Act stated that slavery should be abolished throughout the British Empire.

Today, modern slavery still exists and, in recognition of the continuing campaign to raise awareness, the Sheringham High Historical Society has proposed a MUFTI day.

This will take place on Friday 13th July and will cost students £1. The Historical Society would like some of the proceeds to go to help survivors of modern slavery. The rest will go to support some of our school rewards initiatives.

We understand that, during this hot weather, students will want to wear shorts and T-shirts and this is perfectly acceptable. However, please ensure that your son / daughter is dressed in an acceptable way.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Jayne Melhuish on behalf of Sheringham High Historical Society
