Examination Results 2016
Sheringham High School students have yet another set of outstanding results. Headteacher Dr Andrew Richardson said, “Students worked hard and smart to achieve great grades in many subjects. Not only does the School help all students make massive progress, there were some superb, stand- out performances.”
The School’s overall Progress 8 score was +0.4 which places the School in the top 4 in Norfolk. The School’s average Attainment 8 score per pupil was 57.02 which is also excellent. The basics measure which means that students achieve a C grade in BOTH English and Maths went up again this year at 79%. Unlike many schools in Norfolk and around the country, Sheringham is keen to enter as many students as possible for the Ebacc qualification and 74.5% do enter. What is most pleasing is that 44% achieve this measure which means that they get C grades or above in English, Maths, 2 Sciences, a language and History or Geography. This is a high percentage and we are very proud of our students. Where students go next after GCSE is also key to Sheringham’s success and year on year more than 2/3rds of students choose to stay at our Sixth Form.
