In order to achieve ongoing and sustained improvement at Stalham High School the Directors of North Norfolk Academy Trust (NNAT) have assumed direct control of the governance of the school.

John Wollocombe was a Governor of Sheringham High School for six years and has been a Trustee of the North Norfolk Academy Trust since it was established in 2014. Prior to joining NNAT John served for 3 years as an officer in the armed forces, following which he spent 15 years working within the financial services sector and was a director of Guinness Flight Global Asset Management. After moving with his family to live in Norfolk in 2003 he joined Victory Housing Trust and served as a board director and then board chair for a total of 9 years. John was appointed NNAT Chair of Trustees in September 2019.

Gill Pegg

Gill Pegg has been a governor at Sheringham High School for more than 10 years and Chair of Governors for 5 years, and was Chair of the North Norfolk Academy Trust for 2 years.  Prior to this, she was a governor and Chair of Governors at Holt Primary School.  She has recently retired from working within the Strategy and Commissioning team of Children’s Services at Norfolk County Council.  Gill has project management and leadership and management qualifications and extensive experience of Quality Assurance processes and Careers Guidance.

Constance Tyce

Constance Tyce has been a governor at Sheringham High School for 25 years. She is also a director of North Norfolk Academy Trust and chairs the Personnel Committee.  Now retired, Constance’s professional career has included being a Primary Adviser for Norfolk’s Children’s Services.  She has also been a Headteacher of a first school and Headteacher of a nursery school and Children’s Centre.  Since retiring she has worked for the National College of School Leadership as a mentor and assessor on one of their Leadership programmes.


Andrew Richardson is the Executive Headteacher (CEO) for the Trust. He has overall responsibility for School Improvement within the Trust and is its Accounting Officer. Andrew is also Headteacher of Sheringham High School.


Mary Jane Edwards is a highly experienced leader, Ofsted inspector and school improvement professional. She has 15 years teaching experience across primary and secondary phases and has undertaken a number of senior leadership roles in school. She worked for more than 17 years for Norfolk County Council during which she led the Education Intervention and Inspection Service and managed a team of School Improvement Partners. Mary Jane has served as an Executive Principal of ten primary academies. Her most recent post is that of Chief Executive of the Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust. Mary Jane is an experienced school governor and was appointed Trustee of NNAT in May 2019. Mary Jane has recently been admitted as a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching.


Collection of Summer 2019 GCSE coursework

Students can collect their Art/ Photography / Material Technology/ Visual Communication coursework between Wednesday 13th November 2019 and Friday 13th December 2019. Collection is by arrangement only and a minimum of two working days’ notice will be required.

Your work will be available for collection from school reception between 09.30 – 15.30.  If you are unable to come in person, please let the school office know who will be collecting on your behalf.

Please note that any work that is not collected by the end of Friday December 13th 2019 may be disposed of.
