Sex and Relationships Education (SRE)
Effective sex and relationship education is essential if young people are to make responsible, informed and healthy decisions about their lives, both now and in the future. SRE lessons will help young people learn to respect themselves and others, and move confidently from childhood through adolescence and into adulthood. The school’s sex and relationship education provision also includes those aspects that form part of the National Curriculum programmes of study for science.
Parents have the right to withdraw their children from all or part of sex education, with the exception those areas that are included in the National Curriculum programme of study for science.
Assemblies are for the whole school and some are held within class. These are multi-faith assemblies to provide children with a range of experiences.
Reverend David Roper, where possible, visits every half term.
Our PE provision is currently provided by Premier Sport, with qualified coaches. There is a balanced PE curriculum which covers all aspects of skills and games for each key stage. We also ensure that children have competitive sporting opportunities across the cluster.
